Rules & Regulations


In order to ensure the safety of our customers and staff and maintain a clean and pleasant environment we must strictly enforce the following rules and regulations:

  • Renters and anyone in bays must be 18 years of age or older
  • Maximum 2 persons per bay at any given time
  • Renters must have some basic knowledge of auto repair and supply their own basic tools
  • Renters may not operate hoist − car will be raised and lowered by You Can Do IT staff only
  • No use of alcohol or drugs on the premesis
  • Renters who appear to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs will be asked to leave the premesis and will be responsible for the time their vehicle remains on the premesis
  • Smoking only in designated areas − absolutely no smoking inside You Can Do IT or Lake Street Service Centre garages or offices
  • Abusive or violent behaviour and excessive use of foul language will not be tollerated
  • All equipment must be returned and bays must be left in the same condition as received - all or part of the security deposit may be witheld to replace missing or damaged equipment or to clean or repair service bays
  • Renters are not to solicite Lake Street Service Centre customers or directly compete with Lake Street Service Centre
  • Staff can only provide diagnostic assistance and are not allowed to provide advice or recommendations on solutions or how to repair
  • For certain specialized equipment, we may require renter to provide proof of or demonstrate knowledge of operation (e.g. welding equipment)
  • Charges for bays and equipment are for the duration the bay is occupied or until the equipment is returned, whether or not the work is being performed or the renter is present. Renters may be asked to vacate bays at the end of the time they have reserved. Arrangements can be made to store vehicles on the lot for a reasonable rate. You Can Do IT is not responsible for theft or damage to vehicles left on the premesis.
  • Renters are responsible for adhearing to safe work practices. You Can Do IT self-serve garage is not responsible for injury or damage resulting from the use of its facilities and/or equipment, including damage or injury to third parties resulting from work performed. All renters will be required to sign a waiver of liability prior to using facilities.
